Discover Nepal with 4 days Ghorepani trek
This is one of the popular and easy trek in Nepal. This trek permits you to see three peaks of above 8000m, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu and other snow capped mountains. Ghorepani, known as blue roofed village of Magar community and Ghandruk, major settlement of Gurung community are the major villages you spent nights in the lodges. You cross beautiful rhododendron forest in between two villages, in Mid March to mid April, full of flowers of different colors. You have some steps to go up and down during the trek. We can have hot lunch during the trek and night stop in the lodges.
This trek is suitable and suggested for all who love walking few housrs a day and enjoy the nature in limited time. This trek can be extended to Lumbini, Chitwan and other cities of Nepal.
Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel , walk around the city, Thamel and local market.
Swoyambhu: Buddhist stupa on the the hill, Patan : 2nd city with various pagoda style temples and old palace, Bugmati: beautiful cultural village of wood sculptors and Kathmandu durbar square, city of temples with living goddess.
Check-in in the hotel ( B/B basis) , walk upto Peace stupa by the forest and walk down to lake , cross the lake by boat. walk along the lake and enjoy the evening pray by the Phewa lake.
Drive by Jeep to Banthanti ( 2210m) for two hours and trek Ghorepani (2860m), 4h walk. Ghorepani is popular Magar community village, where Horses used to stop for water . We can see Dhulagiri, Annapurna and Nilgiri from the village. Lodge on BLD
Early morning , walk to Punhill (3210m) for sunrise , take breakfast walk to Tadapani (2680m) , total 6hrs walk . Tadapani has few lodges on the hill among rhododendron trees with beautiful view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchare ( Fishtail ). Lodge on BLD
Enjoy moring view and sunrise . After breakfast , walk down to Ghandruk (1940m) village, beautiful village of Gurung community. Gurungs were popular as warriors in the Gurkha army. After lunch, visit old village and enjoy with local people and culture. Lodge on BLD
Walk down to Kliu ( 2h 30m ) and end of the trek. We catch of vehicle to Pokhara . 1h30 drive.
Drive to Kathmandu by privet vehicle, stop at Bandipur cable car station , go to the Bandipur village for lunch, drive to Kathmandu.
Oldest heritage city in Kathmandu Valley, Pashupati : the most important Hindu temple in Nepal and Boudhnath : huge buddhist stupa and monasteries around.
